In an illustrious career that began at the age of 14, John has travelled the fretboard in virtually every genre of music - jazz, blues, rock, western classical, Indian classical, Indian movie soundtracks ...
And with the who's who of the Indian music world - TV Gopalakrishnan, Kadiri Gopalnath, L Shankar,
AR Rehman, Sivamani, Jo Joo, Zakir Hussain, Vikkoo Vinayakaram, L Subramaniam, Ganesh, Kumaresh, Selvaganesh, Dr Balamuralikrishna, Louis Banks, Carl Peters, Karaikudi R Mani... The list is endless, and you wouldn't be wrong if you believed there's little he hasn't done. But ask him, and he's quick to say, 'There's still a long way to go'.
Karnatriix, conceived a year ago, is another milestone on that never ending journey. And accompanying him on this magical trip is a brilliant exponent of the sarangi, Ustad Faiyaz Ahmed Khan.
